Course Description:

In this course we explore the world of sample-free production and learn how to make our own musical ideas come to fruition. We will learn how to build inspiring chord progressions and compositions, manipulate our ideas with advanced sampling techniques, dive into creative sound design and much more. Music Production 103 is designed to give you confidence to start creating your own original beats and further your knowledge of sampling techniques and strategies.


Session Outcomes:

  1. You will learn creative sound design techniques for building instruments
  2. You will understand how to manipulate and transform your own musical ideas
  3. You will learn a variety of mixing strategies to help you amplify your compositions
  4. You will gain a better understanding for building an original foundation for your music such as chord progressions
  5. You will explore music theory concepts to help articulate your song ideas
